The BAT project, which stands for Basic Attention Token, is a project somewhat similar to Oyster Pearl (PRL). Both projects intend to rework the way in which the internet, and thus websites, monetize.
For short, PRL (a project thats meant to be used to store data) intends to add a way for websites to use a little % of the users CPU or GPU power in order to keep redundant copies of data while having the advantage. However, BAT differs in the way that it has it’s own browser which completely cuts ads and allows users to freely surf the web without these annoying ads and generating BAT Tokens for both them and people they want to automatically donate to.
I won’t get into specifics here, but both these projects intend to allow for a adless browsing, which I’m sure most people do want.
Today, The Rubin Report talk show host Dave Ruben, strongly hinted at some sort of partnership between him and the BAT token project.
In short, the Basic Attention Token might soon use Dave as a way to share their project and reach new users through his youtube channel, as a means of gaining more support and popularity OR it might be something entirely different (which might still provide exposure to both BAT and crypto).
Adding more exposure to crypto in general, is, these days, great for anyone involved!
